Mary Hoyer commissioned master doll artist Bernard Lipfert to sculpt a doll to her specifications. The year was l937, and this composition doll with mohair wig and painted eyes was Mrs. Hoyer's first fourteen inch doll. Lipfert was considered the number one designer of doll faces and figures in the doll industry. The doll was manufactured by the Fiberoid Doll Company.
